Name: Kristen aka K-Dell (I’ll answer to anything really, anything but Kristy)
Age: 40. It’s the new 30 ya know, but I feel like yesterday was 20. Time is all relative.
How long you have been a member at CFSC: Not quite sure to be honest, but it was one location and a couple rigs ago.
How you got started at CFSC: All I really remember from my first intro class was squatting to a med ball, and the coach asking if anyone had kiddos in the group. I got excited because I thought he said kitties (and I have 3 now, but only 2 at the time). Fortunately, I did not respond out loud (only went “SQUEE!” in my head), and saved myself that embarrassment.
Favorite CrossFit movement: Cleans. They make me feel like I have all my housework done.
Least favorite CrossFit movement: Burpees, Ski-Erg, or whatever is in today’s workout.
Favorite healthy food/meal: Primal chili with avocado; Fresh berries; And I’ll never turn down a medium rare rib-eye.
Favorite part about CFSC: Everyone says it because it’s true – the people. I won’t get too sentimental (gotta save that for the yoga crew) but, CFSC is my happy place even if my RBF suggests otherwise.
Something we don’t know about you:
- I’ve lived on both coasts and in the mid-west at various points in my life.
- I was an extra in The Dark Knight Rises.
- There was one year in college I saw Limp Bizkit in concert 4 times. Don’t judge. I’ve also seen Nine Inch Nails, Def Leppard, and Garth Brooks multiple times.
- In middle and high school, I was a competitive show jumper, and was an exhibitor in the Devon Horse Show (a BIG international horse show).
- My passport has been stamped in France, Monaco, Italy, Greece, the UK and Brazil.

In the words of the great Shia Labeouf, “DO IT!!”
Join the dark side – we have tasty Buffy-and-T-approved Kool-Aid and cookies.
Seriously though, put one foot in front of the other and walk through that door. We’re really not that mean and scary (no matter what Coach Dave says).
