Name: Rigo Trejo
Age: OMG 39
How long you have been a member at CFSC: Almost one year (May 14 2021)
How you got started at CFSC: I was tired of making payments to other gyms and not showing up to workout. My body was asking for attention, as my left side was feeling weird – like tingling or prickling sensation.
Favorite CrossFit movement: Can I mention at least two? box jumps and front squats
Least favorite CrossFit movement: There’s more than one: Double unders, Overhead Squats and Snatches. ????
Favorite healthy food/meal: OMG this is hard to answer: a chicken and vegetables bowl, and also avocado toast
Favorite part about CFSC: The coaches, the friendly environment, when Kristin laughs, and when the WOD ends.
Something we don’t know about you:
Ok let me share a little bit about me.
If it wasn’t for the pandemic, I probably wouldn’t be single.
I worked for the Spanish radio station for several years.
Love to get involved in the community activities.
Love to help people according to my possibilities.
I hate cheese, milk and butter.
I have 3 sisters
Love to travel
I do Uber on the side, just to talk to people because I need to improve my skills to speak English.
Words of wisdom for people who are new to CrossFit or interested in trying it: If you are here already just be patient with yourself, you will feel the changes very soon. Don’t give up; your health and body are more important than anything. At the end of the day, our body is all we have. Enjoy every workout!
Name: Mian Wang
Age: 38yrs
How long you have been a member at CFSC: 6 months
How you got started at CFSC: My old gym relocated, and I needed a gym that’s closer. After trying out several other gyms this is my favorite!
Favorite CrossFit movement: Squat Snatch
Least favorite CrossFit movement: HSPU
Favorite healthy food/meal: anything from Yafo Kitchen. (My favorite is their Greek bowl where I can choose my own protein and veggies)
Favorite part about CFSC: It’s all about the community! Sounds like a cliché right? But there something special about this place! It just feels right since my first visit. Also being part of the 6 AM and sometime the 5 AM crew just makes my day better. Finally, I love to see the same coaches consistently and each has their unique coaching style. I know I’m in good hands. ????
Something we don’t know about you: I played the accordion for 5 years.
Words of wisdom for people who are new to CrossFit or interested in trying it: Why not try something new and challenging?! Everything is hard before it is easy. Stay consistent and don’t give up easily. You are getting better each day by simply being here.
