How you got started at CFSC: I was going to a box in Fort Mill but it closed due to COVID. A buddy of mine got me in touch with Dan Martinez and he told me to check out CFSC and the rest is history.
Favorite CrossFit movement: Squat Cleans
Least favorite CrossFit movement: Pistols
Favorite healthy food/meal: Mushroom-Spinach Omelet
Favorite part about CFSC: There are many reason I love CFSC. Things such as the convenient class schedule options, the coaches, the overall space, etc. But the best part is the community. I feel our 9 am class is a family.
Something we don’t know about you: I suffered a major medical issue 5 years ago which opened my eyes to my overall health and fitness. It really kick started CrossFit for me.
Words of wisdom for people who are new to CrossFit or interested in trying it: “Just keep moving” It’s going to be hard the first 4-6 weeks, but after that your body will start craving for the WOD.

How you got started at CFSC: Googled fitness facilities in Steele Creek and CFSC popped up. Decided to give it a try and I love it.
Favorite CrossFit movement: Ab mat sit-ups
Least favorite CrossFit movement: Snatch
Favorite healthy food/meal: Oatmeal w/Chia seed, hemp seed, ground flex seed and fruit
Favorite part about CFSC: The way the people made me feel like part of the CFSC community and their encouragement keeps me going. I enjoy working with the coaches because they’re always helping and pushing me.
Something we don’t know about you: 21 years retired military – Army HOOAH!!
Words of wisdom for people who are new to CrossFit or interested in trying it: Give it a try…Yes it’s challenging! That’s why the coaches are there to guide you through the workout. Don’t compare yourself to others. Be consistent and keep moving you’ll do just fine!
