How long you have been a member at CFSC: 4 years (joined Oct 2021)

How you got started at CFSC: I first discovered CrossFit years ago while living in the Cayman Islands.  I needed something that would keep both my body and mind strong.  From the moment I took my first class at CFSC, I was instantly hooked: the energy, the community, and the challenge were exactly what I was looking for.  I realized right away that this was the place where I could push myself beyond my comfort zone and grow stronger every day. 

Favorite CrossFit movement: Rope climbs and pullups

Least favorite CrossFit movement: Overhead squats

Favorite healthy food/meal: Grilled salmon with veggies

Favorite part about CFSC: The coaches- they always push me to be better.  They care about my form and progress, and they make even the toughest workouts enjoyable.  The community is also amazing- they people here are supportive, motivating and make every class feel like you’re training with friends. 

Something we don’t know about you: My passion for AC Milan runs deep – it’s been a big part of my life since childhood.  If they’re playing, I’m watching (and probably yelling at the TV!)

Words of wisdom for people who are new to CrossFit or interested in trying it: Everyone starts somewhere.  Don’t compare yourself to others; celebrate what you can do today, and you’ll be amazed at how far you can go tomorrow.  Trust your coaches, stay consistent, and embrace the challenge.  The progress will come, and you might just discover that you’re stronger than you ever thought.

How long you have been a member at CFSC: 4 years (since Oct 2021)

How you got started at CFSC: I always searched for ways to stay strong both physically and mentally. After my son was born, I went through a period of a mental decline and feeling overwhelmed.  I just couldn’t keep my ducks in a row anymore, no matter what I tried or did.  My husband encouraged me to try CrossFit. I thought I knew what it was—I was wrong about everything!  Once I finally gave it a chance, I was surprised how little I knew, and how much it helps me!

Favorite CrossFit movement: Rope Climbs, Toes to bar, Hang Cleans, Power Cleans, Muscle-ups, Burpees, Partner workouts.

Least favorite CrossFit movement: Building up to heavier weights and Box Jumps 

Favorite healthy food/meal: Cottage cheese with blueberries and grilled shrimp salad

Favorite part about CFSC: The coaches!!!! They are truly amazing. They know when to push you and when to pull you back, always meeting you exactly where you are. Their encouragement goes beyond the workouts—they genuinely care, reminding you to listen to your body and honor your limits. I love how they put health and well-being first, creating a space where you feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow stronger every single day—physically and mentally.

Something we don’t know about you: By age of 36 I travelled to 62 countries around the world.

Words of wisdom for people who are new to CrossFit or interested in trying it: I couldn’t resonate with this more, and I encourage anyone who’s even slightly hesitant to just show up and give it a try. This place is more than workouts and weights—it’s a community that lifts you up when you need it most. As the quote says, “If you let it, this place will change you.” It will challenge you, support you, and help you discover strength you didn’t know you had—both inside and out.  It will help you get stronger physically and mentally, and it will become part of your life routine!
