Name: Nick Horn
Age: 32
How long you have been a member at CFSC: About a year and a half.
How you got started at CFSC: I was bored of the regular gym. I kept seeing the sign on the street on my way to work and figured I’d check it out.
Favorite CrossFit movement: Box jumps and squats.
Least favorite CrossFit movement: Rope climbs.
Favorite healthy food/meal: Salmon, rice, and asparagus.
Favorite part about CFSC: I never have to think about planning a workout. I just have to show up and get after it.
Something we don’t know about you: I was in a few bands through high school and college. We played shows around Charlotte and up in Boone. Nothing too crazy, but it was a great experience.
Words of wisdom for people who are new to CrossFit or interested in trying it: Keep showing up, it gets easier.
Name: Kelsie Lynch

How you got started at CFSC: Did one intro class with Kyra which made me decide to do a summer program with Whit and Deuce. Never left after!
Favorite CrossFit movement: Power Cleans (Or picking up the heavy sandbags for Strongman)
Least favorite CrossFit movement: Thrusters
Favorite healthy food/meal: Steak and garlic green beans
Favorite part about CFSC: Definitely the friends I have made here along the way. It makes me want to go to the gym and workout! Also, the drive and inspiration to do better I get from everyone here.
Something we don’t know about you: I am really into Warhammer 40k lore and even have some miniatures
Words of wisdom for people who are new to CrossFit or interested in trying it: There are so many ways to scale and adjust a workout to fit your needs. Not every crossfit person is repping out tons of pull ups or doing super heavy lifts. We are all doing what we can whether it is competition focused or just staying healthy. As someone who has gone up and down in weight and strength through the years, I have always been able to adjust to what works for me.
