How long you have been a member at CFSC: 5 months
How you got started at CFSC: I had a dream about winning the CrossFit Games someday… I started at CFSC the next day and never looked back!
Favorite CrossFit movement: Strict Pullups because I could never do them when I was younger
Least favorite CrossFit movement: Overhead squats
Favorite healthy food/meal: I follow a keto based diet, so any protein (steak, chicken, fish) paired with veggies
Favorite part about CFSC: I like how nice and welcoming everyone is… so I’ll say the environment of the establishment is my favorite.
Something we don’t know about you: I enjoy cooking and I train in boxing
Words of wisdom for people who are new to CrossFit or interested in trying it: Stay consistent, be patient, and keep a positive mindset towards your new journey!
Name: Esther Riddick
How long you have been a member at CFSC: first time was about 4 months, second go round about 9 months
How you got started at CFSC: Got started back with CFSC because of a free 2 week trial. I’m always down for free.
Favorite CrossFit movement: OHS
Least favorite CrossFit movement: echo bike, I can barely reach the pedals!!
Favorite healthy food/meal: This is really hard. I have a lot of favorite foods, but probably bulgogi with yukgaejang.
Favorite part about CFSC: The people. We all come from different backgrounds, fitness levels, age, and I can go on. But we all come together in this place with the same goal of becoming a better and healthier “me”.
Something we don’t know about you: I used to be in a Korean Folk Dance group. We were pretty good that we were in the Korean newspaper.
Words of wisdom for people who are new to CrossFit or interested in trying it: It can be intimidating. Just don’t be scared to try new things because you never know what you are capable of doing. Crossfit will expand your physical abilities in ways you probably wouldn’t have imagined. But be careful because it can be addicting too.
