How long you have been a member at CFSC: 1.5 years
How you got started at CFSC: I first heard about it from Amy Cahall, she tried to get me to join for a few months, then I met a few others (Sunny, Corn, Julie…) and it was an easy decision. I knew I was going to join somewhere in the middle of the workout during a Bring a Friend Day.
Favorite CrossFit movement: Deadlift and hanging power clean
Least favorite CrossFit movement: Overhead squats and burpees
Favorite healthy food/meal: Grilled Tuna/Grouper/Salmon and roasted cauliflower.
Favorite part about CFSC: The accepting and supportive atmosphere from coaches and members. Every time I walk in, I know there is going to be encouragement in goals big and small, and usually a few laughs.
Something we don’t know about you: I’ve completed multiple triathlons, including 2 half-Ironmans, as well as 20+ marathons and half-marathons (too many to count).
Words of wisdom for people who are new to CrossFit or interested in trying it: Give it a try a few times and you’ll learn there is something for everyone; it’s almost guaranteed you’ll surprise yourself with what you can do!
