One of my most favorite messages that I get from members is when they get off their blood pressure medications.
Last week, a 70 year old member, who has been on blood pressure medication for 2 decades told me that if his blood pressure remains as is, his doctor is going to have him stop taking his blood pressure medicine. To say he was thrilled by this news, would be a great understatement!
We don’t promise that working with us will get you off your medication, however, we promise to help you with the top 3 ways to for you lower your blood pressure when you choose to work with us.
1. Adopt a Heart-Healthy Diet
Eating a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and high in protein can significantly impact your blood pressure. Emphasizes foods high in potassium, calcium, and magnesium, which help regulate blood pressure. Limit or eliminate ultra processed food from your diet.
2. Engage in Regular Physical Activity
Regular exercise can help lower blood pressure and improve heart health. Aim for a minimum of 3 days of moderate-intensity aerobic activity, in addition to strength training exercises. Consistency is key, so find activities you enjoy and make them part of your routine.
3. Manage Stress Effectively
Chronic stress can contribute to high blood pressure. Practicing stress-reducing techniques such as deep breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, or mindfulness can help. Additionally, ensuring you get adequate sleep and making time for relaxation and hobbies can improve your overall well-being and help keep your blood pressure in check. While exercise is a form of stress, exercise will also minimize the impact of bad stress on the body.
