5 Reasons You’re Not Seeing Results In The Gym

5 Reasons you’re not seeing results in the gym.

I’ve been meeting people since 2009 to help them reach their health and fitness goals.

There are 5 things that I have noticed most consistently when talking to them about why they haven’t reached their fitness goals.

1.        Lack consistency
Life happens, however you still need to find ways to get in some exercise. Many people that I meet with, start off well intentioned but eventually don’t have the accountability or the discipline to exercise when life gets hectic.

Consistency with exercise is the greatest determining factor to seeing the changes you want in the gym.

2.        Stay in their comfort zone
The old adage, “if you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always gotten” fits well here.

Whether that means you need to add a few reps, pounds on to the bar, or increase your steps; if you’re comfortable, there’s a good chance you’re not making the progress you are hoping for.

3.        Pay little attention to what they eat/drink
At 18 years old, maybe. However eventually, you won’t be able to “out exercise a bad diet”. This doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy foods you love, it also means that we need to be more aware of all the calories we’re mindlessly eating everyday that contribute to weight gain.

4.        Take more pics than reps
You know who you are. You’re here to exercise. Can you really not just leave your phone in your car for 30-90 minutes?

5. Expect physical changes too quickly
Changes take time. You’re working on improving something that can last a lifetime and add decades to your life. Be patient.

There’s no magic pill……Wait, what?!?!

Ok, there’s no magic pill that has been studied in relation to weight loss, side effects and impact of stopping the drugs after long term use.
