Or you’ll find an excuse.
Every day we’re talking to people that say they are ready make a change and get healthy. They are tired of being unhappy with how they look and feel and tell us they are ready to take control of their health and fitness.
Then, when it’s time to decide to get started, they make excuses.
You see this in every aspect of life.
Health, fitness, relationships, work, sport, etc.
You say one thing, but your actions don’t match your mouth.
“You’ll either find a way, or you’ll find an excuse”
If you know me, you’ll know that I am not handy.
Tools + Me = Dangerous
So imagine my situation a few weeks ago when the power went out in my neighborhood, my car still in my garage and the emergency “pull thing” in the garage wasn’t working.
I had number of important calls to be on for most of the day, WiFi and internet were needed. I didn’t want to wait for an Uber and not be able to get to other places I needed during the day without my car.
For a minute, I thought, “$%&# it!” I’ll just cancel my stuff and wait for the power to come back on. There’s nothing I can do.
That was my “excuse” to just have a day with nothing to do.
How glorious it would be!
As shocking as it was to myself, my wife and others that know me, I decided to find a way out, that didn’t include backing my car through the garage doors.
It’s a simple story. If you’re handy, this issue would be easy. I’m just happy I didn’t lose an arm or an eye in the process.
What do you know that you need to do in order to make your life better?
What’s your excuse for not getting started?
If you’re tired of making excuses for poor health and ready to make a change, let me know. I mean, REALLY ready. Please don’t come wasting our time or yours with more excuses.
