Top 3 Ways To Invest In Your Greatest Asset

If you haven’t realized by now, your greatest asset is your health.

It’s not time and it’s not money. Neither of those can be appreciated without your good health.

Do not tell yourself that you don’t have time to put towards your health. You are cheating yourself, your friends and family out of more time with you.

When you don’t take care of yourself, your poor health becomes a burden to your family.

If you are a caretaker for others, taking care of yourself is even more important! Have you considered who is going to take care of these people, when you’re not well enough to do so?

If you’re ready to invest in your health, we’re here to help.

Here are the top 3 things you can do starting today;

1. Reduce stress-

Chemical, physical and emotional stress is slowly killing us. Stress on the body will cause it to break down, and weaken your immune system. The negative ways your body responds to distress will lead to many types of disease.

Chemical stress can come from the processed foods you eat, soda, alcohol and smoking. Limit those greatly. Need help, hire a nutrition coach!

Emotional stress will come from your home and work environment. It can also come from others you’re surrounded by most often. If you’re not happy in your environment, you have the power to change it. It may not be simple, but it will be worth it.

Physical stress will be the demand you put on your body. It may be from injuries. It can be a result of repetitive stress at work, or your unwillingness to rest. It can be the result of sitting at your desk all day, and not moving often. When most people ache, they often choose to move less in hopes that pain will resolve on its own. That’s rarely the case. Often in cases of chronic pain, dealing with that will also lead to increased emotional stressors as well.

2. Move more-

Strength training and cardiovascular training would be ideal. However, for some; it starts with walking. Or push ups and squats at home. For others it can be the yoga DVD that’s been collecting dust.

Start at least 30 minutes 3-4 times each week and go from there.

3. Sleep more-

If you’re sleeping less than 7-8 hours consistently, you need to sleep more. Sleep is what your body needs to take care of itself, rebuild and recover. Better sleep has shown to keep your heart healthy, improves memory, reduces inflammation(pain), reduces stress, and help to regulate blood sugar (prevent diabete)

Now you have 3 simple ways to get started. The hardest part is just starting. Go. Now.
