No country has a health care system.
You are responsible for your health. Not the insurance company, food company or the government.
What we do have is sick care, and that’s alright, as long as you understand what that means.
It means we have amazing surgeries that may help extend how long you live, and some medications that may keep you alive longer.
Our current model leans towards extending the quantity of your years, not the quality of your years.
Most people are reactive to their care.
Sick? Go to the doctor. Take medication.
Have heart attack? Perhaps now, you start paying attention to your diet and exercise.
Told you’re pre diabetic? Maybe you’ll eat better and start an exercise program.
While you cannot 100% control your health, waiting for things to go wrong is an unwise way to take care of your health. My opinion, you may disagree.
Accidents happen, I get it. Yet, the healthier, stronger, more fit, in general; the better your body and mind can recover from accidents and traumas.
Google “how many old people die within 1 year of a fall and broken hip” and your mind will be clown.
The longer you let things breakdown, the more likely they will disrupt more things in your body. Very similar to issues with your car.
People go to nursing homes because their body breaks down and they can’t take care of themselves any more.
People get depressed because they can’t do the things they want to do.
Making your health a priority and being proactive will fend off those things for as long as possible.
Don’t be like most people.
Don’t wait until there’s a problem to address your health.
