When I was younger, it was the monster in my basement. It would only chase me when I would go up the stairs. So, every time I went up stairs I would run as fast as I could and slam the door behind me. I stopped being afraid when I was 11.
Now, if you remove the health and safety of friends and family from this question; my worst nightmare is the time that I can no longer take care of myself; physically and mentally. While that can happen with some severe accident, it happens most often to people when their physical and/or mental health deteriorates.
Most people are moved to adult living centers or nursing homes because they are physically unable or it’s deemed too unsafe for them to live on their own, and they are unable to do what they need to in order to survive.
If this sounds like something you want to avoid, you must start to make your fitness and nutrition a priority.
Nothing else comes first.
If you fail to take care of yourself, you will fail at taking care of others.
If you pay more attention to what you feed your pets, than yourself….that’s a problem.
If you pay more attention to the products you put in your car, than yourself…that’s a problem.
