Name: Dana Oliver
How long you have been a member at CFSC: 2+ yrs
How you got started at CFSC: I’ve always enjoyed lifting weights. I’ve done a lot of different sports and always came back to lifting. CrossFit was next for me after Ironman
Favorite CrossFit movement: Power Clean 😊
Least favorite CrossFit movement: Snatch
Favorite healthy food/meal: Crockpot shredded chicken breast, baked in green/red salsa, steamed sweet potatoes. (Thanks Jo!)
Favorite part about CFSC: It’s the best part of my day. It’s 60-90 mins of thinking about nothing other than why I’m here and what needs to get done, for me. It is my therapy. AND, this is not possible without the amazing coaches, gym crews and support from all the athletes. Love this place.
Something we don’t know about you: Divorced since August. Wow, that was freeing to type.
Words of wisdom for people who are new to CrossFit or interested in trying it: Focus on what you want to achieve. Be consistent, accept and face your fears, and give 100%. Great things will happen for you, whether that is in or out of the box. You’ll love lifting the heavy stuff.
