Words of wisdom for people who are new to CrossFit or interested in trying it: Just do it!! I was nervous to try something new, but after my first day, I quickly became comfortable. This place is my home away from home and my happy place!!
Name: Brian Pringle
Age: 29
How long you have been a member at CFSC: 2.5 years
How you got started at CFSC: My brother-in-law is Matthew Burkhard and we have always been competitive with each other since swimming together in college.  Matt started CrossFit and I couldn’t let him get fitter than me :-), so I finally decided to give it a try.
Favorite CrossFit movement: Wall Balls
Least favorite CrossFit movement: Thrusters
Favorite healthy food/meal: Taco Salad!  I eat this at least once a week.  I love Mexican so this is the healthier option.
Favorite part about CFSC: I look forward to going to the gym now because I know I will get a great work out and be surrounded by supportive and friendly people.
Something we don’t know about you: I swam competitively in high school and college.  I went to Fort Mill High my last couple years where I met my now wife, Jessica, who also swam.  She was a state champion all 4 years of high school and I finally got to join her in the state champ club my senior year when the Fort Mill guys won state.  CrossFit is the first sport that has been able to challenge me as much as swimming did.
Words of wisdom for people who are new to CrossFit or interested in trying it: For me the hardest part to get over was the cost.  I was paying $10 a month at a standard gym and felt CrossFit was a huge cost increase when I already felt in shape.  Don’t let the cost deter you because you get what you pay for.  CrossFit has improved my strength, flexibility, and is a fun environment.
